You already use Google Sheets regularly.
You’re a regular user of Google Sheets and already know your way around the platform. You’re familiar with the basic functionality and common intermediate functions like VLOOKUP.

Who is the course not for?
Pro Sheets Accelerator is NOT for you if…
- You’re a beginner with Google Sheets. For example, you’ve not used or are just learning the VLOOKUP for the first time.
- You use Microsoft Excel, or Tableau, or some other data stack that is not Google based. This course is focussed on Google Sheets and other relevant Google tools or partner tools.
- You’re looking for professional level developer training. Pro Sheets Accelerator course teaches you enough coding to build useful work tools but it does not prepare you for a job as a professional developer.
- You’re not willing to put in the time and effort to attend sessions each week and are just looking for a magic bullet. I’m afraid, like everything in life, effort is required to reap the rewards.
- You don’t believe in the value of data and would rather trust your gut, or do things the way they’ve always been done. You’ll get the most out of this course if you enter with a growth mindset, and open yourself to new ideas and methodologies. You can apply the ones that work for you in your work.

Frequently Asked Questions
This course is designed for Google Sheets users who are already familiar with spreadsheets. It is not intended for beginners.
There are no coding prerequisites however.
If you enroll, we’ll send you resources before the course begins to help you prepare.
The nice thing about a live course with lots of feedback and peer coaching is that we can accommodate a wide range of skills and still provide huge value to you.
This is not a beginner course so you can expect to be working with formulas like QUERY, FILTER, INDEX etc. and using pivot tables frequently. In addition, we’ll spend time working with Apps Script, although it’s not a prerequisite that you have used that before.
There will be opportunities to go as far down the technical rabbit hole as you want!
Other than being familiar with Google Sheets, we don’t make any assumptions about your background.
The course is technical in nature though, so you should expect to geek out with your fellow students on formulas, data, code etc.
The course starts on Friday 29th October 2021 with the welcome call.
The final session will be on Friday 10th December 2021.
Pro Sheets Accelerator is a 5-week live course.
We’ll meet twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday at noon EST for a 90 minute live session, conducted via Google Meet.
In addition, we’ll have optional office hours on a Friday lunchtime.
Each week, there will be supporting materials and exercises.
All the live sessions will be recorded and available to watch at a later date. However, you should plan on attending as many of the sessions live as possible to get the most from the course.
Yes! All the exercises and datasets will be available.
The two live sessions will take 3 hours per week.
In addition, you should plan on another 3+ hours each week to attend office hours or feedback groups or work through the exercises. These are all optional but you will get more out of the course if you put more time into it.

Each week, we’ll host office hours where you can ask specific questions.
This course is live and completely up-to-date. If Google releases a new feature on a Monday, we can cover it in Tuesday’s lesson.

You will have the ability to interact with the instructor and other students during the live sessions and even get one-on-one time with the instructor during weekly office hours. If you don’t understand a concept simply ask for clarification and get it.
